I have no remembrance of the first Iron Man at all, so don't expect any comparisons between them. The thing I liked most about the sequel is the dynamic between the guy who is Iron Man and his wife. Their conversations cracked me up several times during the movie and were pretty much the reason I kept watching. The beginning was rough to get through because Tony Stark (Iron Man) was completely egotistical.
The action scenes were pretty cool too, and the random girl who killed pretty much everybody was cool. But the ending was generally predictable and that whole shindig. So, without the witty banter between characters Iron Man 2 would have been pretty much a wreck, at least to me. But overall I liked it.

Melissa had me watch the first Iron Man on Friday, but I was so tired that I fell asleep 20 minutes in. I have a short attention span for action movies. She said the first was amazing but the second wasn't very good.
