Oh em gee Jesse Spencer. Yeah he's in this movie and as a singer. One of the hottest singers ever if I may say so myself. Anyways, Uptown Girls had it's ups and downs; it made me laugh and made me cry. Favorite line? "Act your age not your shoe size"
Dakota Fanning is so little in this movie and it's actually a really funny role for her. At least it is to me. She plays a girl who acts much older than she actually is, while her babysitter (Brittney Murphy) acts much younger than her actual age. This leads to a sort of paradox where the characters' ages don't match how they act.
The "Sheets of Egyptian Cotton" song that they play in the movie got stuck in my head which was obnoxious. Actually it is quite nice because that means I have Jesse Spencer's voice in my head which I shouldn't complain about. I like it there. Overall it was a good movie and has possible rewatch value, but it wasn't one I'm crazy about.
I give it: 9/10
